Confession Time

Ok so maybe, just maybe, I buy too much stock. And despite the recent extension to the gallery (we’ve taken the shop next door) and the addition of our new warehouse, it is proving impossible for me to hide the fact from my staff that once again we have run out of space.

So why do I keep buying? Two reasons. Firstly they are no longer making the great prints and paintings of the past so it makes great sense to buy all we can. And secondly, I just can’t stop. I am hopelessly addicted to the process. I love buying art.

Last time I made this admission in public you came in your droves. Can you imagine how I felt watching my precious stock streaming out of the building? The money was nice. There was even the suggestion that I should use it to buy a house. How bright would that have been? But instead I spent it all on stock and maybe I’ve once again just overdone it a tadge.

So here we are again – do what you must do and I will grin and bear it.
